An article in Open - an independent, controlled-circulation, weekly, electronic magazine written to help IT professionals acquire and justify the ROI for Open Source products and services in the enterprise - analyzes the EU policy background that has made the study a reality and argues that the strategic decision by the EU Commission to bet on open source software as the choice for software to be used in the public administration of EU members will prove to be the tipping point for success of the open source software model.

Good times at the beach. Vilhelm, Jeanne and I spent a wonderful day (12-07-2002) together with our friends Ulla and Jens Heurlin and their two kids Niels and Elizabeth at their summer cottage at Uglestien in Asserbo - North Zealand - close to the sea. The weather was perfect, the beach sandy and clean, the water cold and refreshing.
